IT Project Manager


Managing IT projects / the IT part of business projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning (all phases) including budget and resources planning
  • Coordination of works, issues and activities; Coordination of resources across departments involved to the project
  • Project Management reporting (using internal based GPL methodology (GPL is based upon PRINCE2); responsibility for reporting of project progress, unsolved issues, strategic questions and requests to the steering committee. Responsible for creating of reports and theirs presentations to concerned project management
  • Embedding project management methodology and standards within the branch organization
  • Vendor management
  • Definition of the project scope acceptable for IT dept. Assurance to keep the defined project’s scope, organization, governance processes, project standards and procedures. responsible for achievement of the project goals within defined scope and time
  • Negotiation about resources allocation with head of departments
  • Responsible for the data collection and data analyses
  • Contributes to identifying appropriate progress measures
  • Provide Business Continuity plan and process implementations
  • Provide capacity and availability management

Required profile & skills:

  • University Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent in work experiences
  • At least 5 of experience with working in projects in leading / managing positions, preferably within a bank
  • Fluent Czech and English (oral and written)
  • Ability to liaise on matters both IT and business related
  • Sound knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze problems, interpret operational needs
  • Ability to analyze business processes, perform in-depth work analyses and develop computer-generated flow charts
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Ability to develop project budgets and projections
  • Ability to ‘get things done’, goal oriented approach
