Transaction Services Specialist

Basic Function:

  • Growth of our corporate banking business
  • Widening of the corporate customer base through prospect acquisition
  • Sales of the assigned products to eligible customers
  • Interfacing the customer and the bank, keeping customers satisfied through product delivery to customers‘ expectations
  • Meeting the revenue budgeted

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Client Management and Origination

  • Develop, maintain and optimize proactively new and existing client relationships (globally) in view of the marketing and sales of TS solutions (TFS, WCS, PCM, BMG) in support of the overall relation and in alignment with relationship manager (PAM / LAM);
  • Responsible for achieving the TS sales & profitability objectives for designated client portfolio;
  • Identify TS business opportunities based on a good understanding of client needs, incl. identifying cross selling opportunities towards other products;
  • Agree joint client selection in close cooperation with the respective PAM/LAM, based on thorough wallet analysis;
  • Define strategy and business plan in cooperation with the PAM/LAM, as part of the SCAP, and act accordingly;
  • Propose product development strategies, including guidelines for product pricing and benchmarks;
  • Organize, prepare and participate - in the capacity of expert and in alignment with the relationship manager - in visits to existing and new clients in view of presenting and negotiating standard and custom-made TS solutions;
  • Initiate, prepare and coordinate specific TS pitches (where relevant in close collaboration with the TS Proposal Unit Officer).

Development / execution

  • Coordinate the different phases of the sales process up to the implementation of the TS deal and its follow-up including relevant changes in the commercial terms and conditions of the TS deal;
  • Ensure proper completion of transactions, including clear instructions for handover to Client Services (e.g. final scope document);
  • Provide feedback to local / regional management and other relevant stakeholders on client needs and market developments;
  • Keep knowledge up-to-date on TS products and services (in particular WCS and TFS);
  • Coordinate with other important touch points between TS Sales and other relevant parts of the organisation, including but not limited to TS – Relationship managers, Client Services, Products and Channels, TS Solutions and FI Trade Banking, CFIL, Risk, Financial Markets;
  • Share knowledge and information - internally and externally and initiates, encourage and support actively the development of new solutions based on market information. Suggest and support product modifications / innovations as necessary;
  • Recognize product problems as they evolve, suggest solutions, gather and communicate all deterioration signals to relevant parties;
  • Co-ordinate preparation and execution of the agreements related to the assigned products. In relevant cases, support development and implementation of non-standard documents by involving legal, credit and relevant product managers;
  • Liaise with Client Services wherever necessary to ensure proper customer / product servicing.


  • Take every effort in gaining a deep knowledge each of the assigned products;
  • If any customers‘ activities are recognized as non-compliant with the applicable regulations, inform line management;
  • Meet all legal, compliance and risk requirements in day-to-day activities.

Activity Reporting

  • Fully use CRM as the primary customer relationship management and activity management tool;
  • Prepare and submit for approval expense reports for actually incurred expenses while on-the-job.

  • Meet or exceed individual/team annual revenue budget;
  • Meet or exceed the assigned targets / tasks.

Required background:

  • University graduate
  • Banking front-office experience min. 5 years
  • Superior knowledge of the assigned products
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Fluent in business English
  • Demonstrate highest ethical standards
  • Very good interpersonal skills, efficient team player
  • Good PC skills (MS Windows, Internet technologies, Database systems)
